One of my most favorite things to do when I have free time is visiting
websites that are genuinely made to waste your time. Not that it’s a bad
thing, because visiting these sites when you’re in a state of immense
boredom can be really fun. Here is a list of top seven websites
to visit when bored!
7. littlealchemy.com
This, is one of the best time-wasting games ever. Starting with only 4 elements, water, earth, fire and air, your task is to create all 550 elements in the game. Once an element is discovered, you can use an infinite amount of that element. For example:
(earth + water=mud)
After discovering that element, you can use that new element to create more elements.
(mud + fire = brick)
It is just such an addictive and great game to play. Whenever I visit that website, it’s tremendously hard to exit the page. If you play for long enough, you can find that it becomes more difficult, but even more fun to play. Here is one of the more difficult elements to make:
(snow + wagon) OR (snow + cart) = sledge
And of course, if you are stuck, you can always visit: littlealchemy.com/cheats
6. weavesilk.com
With just as click of a mouse, you can create a complex illustration with little to no effort. For example, I created one which took less than a minute and required only a few clicks. It’s addicting and can be suitable for many different backgrounds.
5. 1000lifehacks.com
From telling the weather by looking at your coffee to being able to stop you from sneezing, this website has life hacks for EVERYONE. For example, did you know you can save up to 1,157 gallons of water a year if you release urine in the shower instead of the toilet? Did you know that putting your phone on silent mode will make it use less battery power and make it charge faster? You can truly make your life a lot easier with this website.
4. incredibox.com
With only a few clicks, there are tons of possibilities to create your own acapella band. There are four versions: 1, 2, 3 and 4. You can add a beatbox, baseline, music background effects, harmonies and solo parts. It doesn’t take long to make an acapella that you share and save.
3. akinator.com
This website scares me every time I use it. It’s called Akinator and basically it can read your mind when you are thinking of a famous character or a person. It makes you go through a series of questions and, if you answer those questions correctly (according to what you are thinking about, it guesses correctly).
2. the.wubmachine.com
This is one of the most creative and coolest websites of all time. It is a website which converts any music and changes it to a different style, like dubstep. It’s amazing and works for almost every song. There are even more styles that you can convert to with the app, but for a website, this is one of the most fun websites to visit. I mean, what can be better than listening to a dubstep remix of Nyan Cat?
1. either.io
If all the other websites do not interest you, this is a truly fun website to visit. The website consists of ‘Would you rather’ questions, like:
Would you rather: (Spend a year alone in a submarine) or (Spend a year alone in a space station)
It’s very entertaining as they are tons of questions to answer. After answering a question, a page will reveal the number of people who responded with the same answer. Try it out!
Have fun browsing!
